The new year bought about some new faces whilst the retaining a majority
of last year's squad. The club also welcomed a new Senior Coach - Theo Mylonas.
At the start of the season, the goal was to consolidate our position in Division 2
and to avoid relegation at all cost. However looking around at training and as the
pre-season went on, it was clear to see that this group of lads could do much more
than just avoid being relegated.
Our season got off to a strange start, in what was Vipers first ever game in
Division 2, we drew 2 - 2 with arch rivals Salisbury Villa (who went on the clinch
top stop). I'm not sure anyone would have predicted such a result. This high
scoring game was a sign of things to come. Over the course of the season, there
were some memorable victories. On a number of occasions we found ourselves a goal
or 2 behind and to the team's credit they never gave up and managed to come for
behind to take the victory. A special congratulation to Eleuther Kali and
Dimitri Matsouliadis for taking out the league awards.
We done boys, bring on Division 1
